Job summary

Axis Communications in Lund, Sweden seeks an Embedded Software Developer to evolve AXIS OS on Linux-based platforms. You will design, implement, and maintain user-space Linux components for constrained embedded systems, focusing on performance, security, and reliability within a cross-functional team.

You will contribute to secure software, open-source initiatives, and full development lifecycles while collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• MSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Solid experience with embedded programming using Linux systems.
• At least five years of working experience.
• Knowledge of operating systems concepts.
• Interest in different programming languages.
• Experience with open-source software and security aspects for software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Linux system software, primarily in user space, for constrained embedded systems.
• Optimize resource utilization and ensure stability and performance of AXIS OS.
• Develop and integrate robust data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear outcomes.
• Contribute to and leverage open-source software initiatives.
• Engage in the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
