Job summary

Axis Communications AB in Lund seeks an Embedded Software Developer to join the AXIS OS Security and Compliance team. You will design, develop, and maintain Linux user-space software for constrained embedded systems, optimizing resources and enhancing security while contributing to data infrastructure and open-source initiatives.

The role requires a MSc in CS, five years of embedded Linux experience, OS concepts knowledge, and interest in multiple programming languages.

• MSc in Computer Science or related field.
• Solid experience with embedded programming using Linux systems.
• At least five years of working experience.
• Knowledge of operating systems concepts.
• Interest in different programming languages.
• Experience with security aspects for software platforms.

Responsibilities

We are growing our AXIS OS Security and Compliance team in Lund, Sweden, and seeking a talented Embedded Software Developer to join us.

Your future team

The AXIS OS Security and Compliance team helps ensure that AXIS OS is secure, trustworthy, and ready to meet today’s, and tomorrow’s, requirements. Our work covers cryptography and other areas of product security, as well as compliance with regulations and standards such as the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and Common Criteria. As security and compliance requirements continue to evolve, we work across AXIS OS to turn them into practical, reliable solutions. You’ll help strengthen AXIS OS security and support compliance with current and emerging requirements, working closely with teams across the organization.

What You Will Do As a Embedded Software Developer

• Design, develop, and maintain Linux system software, primarily in user space, for constrained embedded systems.
