Job summary

Axis Communications in Lund, Sweden, is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Developer to join the AXIS OS Runtime sub-team. You will design, develop, and optimize Linux-based system software for constrained embedded devices, focusing on boot optimization, file system handling, and containerization integrations.

The role requires MSc in Computer Science or equivalent, at least five years in embedded Linux programming, and strong knowledge of OS concepts and networking APIs.

Qualifications

MSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Strong experience with embedded Linux programming.
At least five years of work experience.
Knowledge of operating systems concepts.
Interest in different programming languages.
Experience with open-source software.
Knowledge of network-oriented API concepts.
Experience with connected software platforms (local & cloud networks).

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Linux system software for constrained embedded systems.
Optimize resource usage and ensure stability and performance of AXIS OS.
Develop and integrate robust data infrastructure.
Contribute to open-source software initiatives.
Collaborate with firmware architects and specialists in events & frameworks.
Engage in the full software development lifecycle from concept to deployment.
