Job summary

Octagon Group in Stockholm seeks an experienced electronics design engineer to take circuits from idea to volume production for precision analytical instruments, including NIR, rheology and RF technology.

You will design PCBs, write basic firmware, and debug hardware, collaborating with software and product teams to lead smaller projects in a global, growing market. 5 years of relevant experience and a BSc in EE are preferred.

Qualifications

• BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Around 5 years in a similar electronics design role.
• Experience from concept to volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design electronic circuit boards mixing digital and analogue parts.
• Develop new NIR, rheological and RF instruments and update existing products.
• Handle EOL redesigns and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Debug, troubleshoot and repair at PCBA level with testing equipment.
• Write basic firmware, with or without an RTOS.
• Collaborate with Software, Applications and Product Management teams; lead small projects.
