Job summary

PerkinElmer is looking for an Electronics Design Engineer to develop and design electronic circuit boards for various applications. This role involves working within a small team to ensure product compliance and manage portfolios effectively.

Role description

Develop and design electronic circuit boards featuring digital and analog components such as computer module carrier boards, DC‑DC converters, motor drivers, AD‑converters, and LED drivers. Participate in the full product release cycle, keeping the existing portfolio updated and managing end‑of‑life transitions while ensuring regulatory compliance. Debug, troubleshoot, and repair PCBA using tools like oscilloscope and signal generator, including soldering for SMD/THD components. Collaborate within a small team and with software, applications, and product management functions. Perform basic firmware development with or without RTOS.

• Debug, troubleshoot and repair PCBA at the component level
• Collaborate with software, applications, and product management teams
• Develop basic firmware, potentially using an RTOS

Qualifications

• Knowledge of protocols such as SPI, I2C, USB, UART, DisplayPort, HDMI, Ethernet, SATA, MODBUS
• Basic understanding of EMC, ESD, and electrical safety compliance
• Experience with cable and connector selection is a plus
• Experience with FPGA is an advantage
• Strong collaboration, problem‑solving, and innovative mindset

• Fluent in English
