Job summary

Aliant is seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer for a hands‑on consulting assignment in Gothenburg, Sweden. You will lead hardware development from concept to production, collaborating with firmware, mechanical, and test engineers to deliver robust electronics solutions.

The role requires several years of hardware design experience, strong analog/digital/mixed‑signal know‑how, and proficiency with prototyping, debugging, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in electronic hardware design.
• Strong knowledge of analog, digital and mixed‑signal circuit design.
• Experience creating schematics and PCB designs.
• Experience with hardware prototyping, debugging and verification.
• Good understanding of sensors, microcontrollers, communication interfaces and power electronics.
• Experience working with EMC and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
• A structured, analytical and solution‑oriented mindset.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic circuits (analog, digital, and mixed signal).
• Create and review schematics and PCB designs.
• Select electronic components based on performance, cost, availability, and reliability.
• Develop prototypes and support hardware bring up and debugging.
• Integrate sensors, microcontrollers, communication interfaces, and power management circuits.
• Ensure designs comply with EMC, CE and FCC requirements.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical and test engineers throughout the product development process.
• Evaluate new technologies and components for future product development.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
