Job summary

Mpya Sci & Tech AB in Ljungby, Sweden is seeking an Electronic Product Care Manager to lead a cross-functional team that sustains and improves the value of released electronics throughout their lifecycle.

You will own technical coordination, work with Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Product Management, Service and Global R&D, resolving field quality issues, obsolescence, supply disruptions, and improvement requests while keeping products safe and compliant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in electronics, embedded systems, product care or sustaining engineering.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional and multicultural teams in a matrix organization.
• Proven ability to lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Experience with product lifecycle management and engineering change processes.
• Professional proficiency in English.

• Identify and mitigate technical risks, dependencies and capacity constraints.
• Define and track KPIs such as ageing, lead time, recurrence, backlog and quality trends.
• Promote data-driven ways of working and AI-enabled tools.

About the role

For a consultant position we are looking for an Electronic Product Care Manager to support our customer´s AD&E department. You will lead a cross-functional team that sustains, improves and protects the value of released electronic products and systems throughout their lifecycle.

You will own the technical coordination and priorities for product care. You will work closely with Quality, Purchasing and Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Product Management, Service and Global R&D. Together you will resolve field quality issues, component obsolescence, supply disruptions and product improvement requests, while keeping products safe, compliant, reliable and available.

What you’ll do

• Own and prioritize the product-care portfolio for released electronic products
• Lead a cross-functional team of hardware, firmware and software engineers
• Plan and follow up activities, timelines, resources and budgets from implementation through release and closure
• Drive root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for field failures, complaints and production issues
• Manage component obsolescence, shortages and supplier changes, making sure alternatives are qualified and cost-effective

You will balance urgency, customer impact, technical risk, cost and capacity. You will give technical and business stakeholders clear status, decisions and recommendations, and help them agree when priorities conflict.

You are an experienced technical leader with a strong background in electronics, controls and embedded systems. You solve problems in a structured way and you get decisions made on time, even when things move fast. You take ownership, communicate clearly and are comfortable leading people in a matrix organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in electronics, embedded systems, product development, product care or sustaining engineering
• Proven experience leading cross-functional and multicultural teams in a matrix organization
• Proven ability to lead root-cause investigations, assess risk and turn the findings into practical corrective actions
• Experience with product lifecycle management, engineering change processes, configuration management, verification and validation, and technical documentation
• Professional proficiency in English
