Job summary

Astek Sweden is seeking an experienced Electrical Harness & Hardware Design Engineer to create electrical systems and wiring harnesses for heavy vehicles. You will work with a second electrical designer and partner with Mechanical Design, Workshop and Purchasing to translate customer needs into buildable solutions.

You should have a degree in Electrical Engineering with 2–3 years of electrical design experience and be fluent in Swedish and English.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems and wiring harnesses in both schematics and 3D.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Harness & Hardware Design Engineer to join a dedicated team working on custom special orders for heavy vehicles. You will design electrical systems, both schematics and 3D, together with another electrical designer on the team. You will work closely with several cross-functional teams, including Mechanical Design, Workshop, Production and Purchasing, to turn customer needs into solutions that can be built.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. and/or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in electrical design.
• Previous experience from assignments with our client.
• Experience with CATIA V5, Saber ESD and OAS.
• Fluent in Swedish and English.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems and wiring harnesses, both schematics and 3D.
• Develop and update solutions for custom special orders.
• Work with Mechanical Design, Workshop, Production and Purchasing.
• Take ownership of your tasks and support the team in different areas when needed.
