Job summary

Cytiva in Uppsala, Sweden, seeks a Research Engineer for the Extractables & Leachables section. The role focuses on analytical chemistry tasks, method development and validation support for Cytiva products. The position is temporary, onsite in Uppsala from January 17, 2027 to July 16, 2027.

Ideal candidates hold a BSc/MSc in Analytical Chemistry or related field with lab experience and can communicate in English. Experience with GC-MS and quality-guided labs is a plus.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline with lab/industrial experience.
• Hands-on laboratory experience including sample preparation, analysis and interpretation of analytical data.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development projects for Cytiva products with analytical chemistry expertise throughout development and lifecycle.
• Plan, perform and evaluate Extractables & Leachables (E&L) analyses for new and existing products.
• Perform analytical testing using GC-MS and other applicable methods, including interpretation, evaluation and documentation of results.
• Develop, optimise and troubleshoot analytical methods to meet project requirements.
• Analyse and communicate experimental results, providing technical input and recommendations to project teams.
• Collaborate with colleagues across R&D, Quality and other cross-functional teams to support project objectives.
• Document experimental work, methods and results in accordance with applicable quality procedures and ways of working.
