Are you ready to lead the digital agenda in a highly regulated, business-critical environment and shape the future of IT & Digital Solutions in Sweden?

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Director IT & Digital Solutions to take a key leadership role in developing our IT and digital capabilities across Fresenius Kabi in Sweden. This is an opportunity to lead an important function at the intersection of business, technology, digital transformation and regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing, while working closely with both local stakeholders and global IT functions.

The role

As Director IT & Digital Solutions, you will lead our IT Infrastructure and Systems Engineering teams in Sweden and be responsible for ensuring that our local IT infrastructure and application capabilities support both current business needs and our long-term strategic direction.

You will connect local business priorities with Fresenius Kabi's global IT strategy, drive digitalization initiatives and build a scalable and future-ready IT landscape. You will also ensure that our systems and infrastructure meet applicable requirements within GxP/GMP, cybersecurity, GDPR and data protection.

The position is a Sweden site leadership role for IT & Digital Solutions, reporting to the Head of TechOps Digital Operations, with personnel and budget responsibility. Working closely with local operations, global IT functions, support functions, suppliers and other business stakeholders, you will have the opportunity to influence both strategic direction and operational development.

Your key responsibilities;

• Lead and develop the IT & Digital Solutions organization in Sweden, including IT Infrastructure and Systems Engineering.


• Develop and execute the local IT and digital roadmap, ensuring alignment between business priorities and the global IT strategy.


• Drive digitalization initiatives across production, R&D and business processes, identifying opportunities where technology can improve efficiency and business outcomes.


• Ensure GxP/GMP compliance for local systems and maintain a high level of audit and inspection readiness.


• Strengthen and maintain local IT security, cybersecurity, GDPR and data protection practices.


• Lead and prioritize complex IT investments and projects, including infrastructure upgrades and digital transformation initiatives.


• Take responsibility for the local IT budget, investment portfolio, resource allocation and performance reporting.


• Act as a strategic partner to the business, translating business needs into scalable, secure and compliant technology solutions.


• Build strong collaboration across global and local functions as well as with external partners and suppliers.


• Lead, coach and develop the IT organization, strengthening capabilities and creating the conditions for collaboration and high performance.

Your profile

• Academic degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional qualifications.


• Significant experience in IT management and leadership, including leading cross-functional teams and aligning IT priorities with business objectives.


• Strong leadership experience, including developing teams and organizational capabilities.


• Experience leading complex IT projects and change initiatives, ideally in an international organization.


• Experience in digital transformation, system upgrades and organizational change.


• A good understanding of GMP/GxP and regulated IT environments, preferably within pharmaceuticals, life sciences or another highly regulated industry.


• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems engineering, cybersecurity, data protection, automation and digital transformation.


• Strong stakeholder management, communication and decision-making capabilities.


• Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
