Job summary

Axis Communications in Stockholm is seeking a Digital ASIC SoC Architect to drive the architecture and implementation of the ARTPEC SoC core. You will define system requirements, select IPs, and guide RTL design and verification with cross-functional teams.

Join a collaborative ASIC team; a bachelor’s or master’s in electrical engineering or related field is expected, with a passion for technology and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, engineering physics or similar.
• Strong knowledge of ASIC technologies, design, verification, testing, and manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of digital design concepts (RTL, FSMs, pipelines, clocking, resets).
• Ability to work in a collaborative, cross‑functional team.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• As an ASIC SoC Architect, you will play a pivotal role throughout the ASIC project lifecycle.
• You will specify system-level requirements, define architecture, evaluate and select third-party IPs, and support RTL design and verification teams.
• You will cooperate with our ASIC vendor during the implementation phase and work closely with internal hardware and software teams.

What You Will Do As An ASIC SoC Architect
As an ASIC SoC Architect, you will play a pivotal role throughout the ASIC project lifecycle. You will specify system-level requirements, define architecture, evaluate and select third-party IPs, and support RTL design and verification teams. You will also cooperate with our ASIC vendor during the implementation phase and work closely with internal hardware and software teams.

A suitable background would be a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, engineering physics or similar.

Technical Expertise

• Knowledge of ASIC technologies, design, verification, testing, and manufacturing.
• Understanding of SoC architecture.
• Solid understanding of digital design concepts (RTL, FSMs, pipelines, clocking, resets).
• Strong problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Documentation: skilled in creating structured and well-organized documentation.
• Embedded systems: understanding of hardware-software interactions and embedded system principles.
