ASIC SoC Security Architect – Lund
Join our team as an ASIC SoC Security Architect! We are looking for an experienced engineer to join our ASIC System team in Lund and help shape the future of our ARTPEC SoC chips.
Team
The ASIC System team is responsible for SoC architecture and ASIC implementation. It works closely with our ASIC vendor, internal RTL design and verification teams, and key stakeholders to meet the highest security and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Specify system-level security requirements and define the overall architecture.
- Evaluate and select third‑party IPs, platforms and platforms from a security perspective.
- Support RTL design and verification teams during the ASIC implementation phase.
- Cooperate with the ASIC vendor and work closely with internal hardware and software teams.
- Contribute to the Axis Security Roadmap and use case definition.
- Document security features and life‑cycle management for ASICs.
- Validate Axis ASICs and perform validation of IPs.
- Implement and support cryptographic algorithms.
- Plan a long‑term security roadmap, including Trusted Execution Environments on ARM‑based platforms.
- Develop secure boot firmware for cryptographic subsystems.
- Interface with internal and external teams, customers and suppliers regarding security requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics or similar.
- Knowledge of ASIC technologies, design, verification, testing and manufacturing.
- Understanding of industry security standards and certifications.
- Strong background in SoC architecture.
- Genuine interest in cyber security and IoT/embedded systems.
- Experience working with security protocols.
- Familiarity with NIST, ETSI and other standard‑organization requirements and roadmaps.
- Experience with ARM and/or RISC‑V architectures, preferably from a security perspective.
- Experience in certifying security features.
- Previous work with cryptographic algorithms and security-related ASIC IPs such as NVM and TRNG.
- Experience with embedded C development close to hardware.
- Knowledge of secure development and testing practices.
- Understanding of embedded systems and hardware/software interaction.
- Strong documentation, presentation and communication skills in English.
