Job summary

Scanjet in Sjöbo, Sweden invites an Development Technician to join our R&D team. You will assemble and verify prototypes and perform certification testing, reporting progress to the Design Manager.

Development Technician – R&D Team (Sjöbo, Sweden)

Scanjet is looking for a Development Technician to join our R&D Team in Sjöbo, Sweden. The role is full‑time and may require occasional travel.

About the Team

The R&D department consists of nine employees, seven based in Sjöbo and two in Batam, Indonesia. It is responsible for the development, certification and maintenance of the product portfolio and collaborates with many parts of the organization to ensure quality requirements are met.

About the Role

As Development Technician you will be responsible for the assembly and verification of prototypes as well as certification testing, and ensuring that schedules and goals for product development are followed and reported back to the Design Manager.

• Manufacture prototypes and parts for new products.
• Test and document results related to product function testing.
• Manufacture and maintain the development department's machinery, equipment and fixtures.

Your Background

• Solid knowledge of machining.
• A broad technical knowledge and a track record of continuous learning.
• Previous experience of testing, especially of prototypes.
• Ability to plan and structure work.
• Required computer skills.
• Forklift license and overhead crane training.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Driver's license – B.
