Job summary

Scanjet Marine & System AB, part of the Alfa Laval Group, seeks a Development Technician for the R&D team in Sjöbo, Sweden. The role focuses on assembling and verifying prototypes, performing certification tests, and ensuring product development milestones are met.

Scanjet is now looking for Development Technician to join our R&D Team in Sjöbo, Sweden.

About the Team

The R&D department consists of nine employees, seven based in Sjöbo and two in Batam, Indonesia. R&D is responsible for the development, certification and maintenance of the product portfolio. The department collaborates with many different parts of the organization to ensure that the products meet the quality requirements of our customers. This role works closely with the workshop where many of the parts are manufactured.

About the role

As Development Technician you will be responsible for the assembly & verification of prototypes as well as certification testing, and that set schedules and goals for the development of products are followed and reported back to the Design Manager.

• Manufacture prototypes & parts for new products
• Test and document results related to product function testing.
• Manufacture and maintain the development department’s machinery, equipment and fixtures.

The position is full-time and based in Sjöbo. For this position you may be required to travel from time to time.

Your background

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• Solid knowledge of Machining.
• A broad technical knowledge and a track record of continuous learning.
• Previous experience of testing, especially testing of prototypes.
• Ability to plan and structure your work.
• Required computer skills.
• Forklift license and overhead crane training.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Driver’s license – B.

No necessary but good if you also have:

• Welding skills
