Job summary

SSC Space in Kiruna, Sweden is seeking a Cyber Security Operations Specialist to defend the organization against cyber threats. The role combines hands-on security monitoring, incident response, and proactive threat hunting to strengthen SSC's defenses.

You will work across monitoring, investigation, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence, shaping the future SecOps capabilities while collaborating with internal teams and external SOC partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, Threat Hunting, or Detection Engineering.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and defensive technologies.
• Experience with SIEM and EDR.
• Ability to investigate and understand security incidents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Willingness to continuously learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts and events.
• Improve detection quality and operational visibility.
• Collaborate with external SOC providers and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in preparation, investigation, containment, recovery, and lessons learned activities.
• Support security incident coordination and communications.
• Develop and tune detection rules and use cases.
• Analyze threat intelligence and prioritize defensive efforts.
• Help advance automation and tooling in SecOps.
