Job summary

SSC Space in Kiruna, Sweden is seeking a Cyber Security Operations Specialist to defend the organization against cyber threats. The role combines hands-on security monitoring, incident response, and proactive threat hunting to strengthen SSC's defenses.

You will work across monitoring, investigation, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence, shaping the future SecOps capabilities while collaborating with internal teams and external SOC partners.

Qualifications

• As Cyber Security Operations Specialist, you will strengthen SSC's ability to identify, understand, contain, and respond to cyber threats.

Responsibilities

Security Monitoring

• Monitor and investigate security alerts and events
• Improve detection quality and operational visibility
• Strengthen monitoring processes and procedures

Incident Response

• Participate in preparation, investigation, containment, recovery, and lessons learned activities
• Support security incident coordination and communication
• Contribute to playbooks and response procedures

Threat Hunting & Detection

• Perform proactive threat hunting activities
• Identify indicators of compromise and suspicious behaviors
• Improve detection use cases and monitoring coverage

Threat Intelligence

• Analyze relevant threat intelligence
• Assess emerging threats and attack techniques
• Support risk‑based prioritization of defensive efforts

Vulnerability Management
