HCL Technologies Limited in Sweden seeks a Mid-Level Data Center Technician to support IT equipment in a live 24x7 environment. You will perform diagnostics, replace faulty components, and ensure data security and uptime across GPU and high-density hardware.

The role requires 2+ years in data centers, certifications like CompTIA A+/Server+/Network+ and BSC, English fluency, and a valid driver’s license. Expect collaborative teamwork and a comprehensive benefits package.

Formación

• Minimum 2+ years' experience supporting IT equipment.
• Experience in a live, 24x7 data centre, or with GPU/high-density hardware.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Server+, Network+ and BSC are required.
• Broad understanding of network and server equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure PPE compliance and site rules; complete EHS and security training.
• Report safety or security concerns using site procedures.
• Protect customer data by preventing unauthorized access and incidents.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot per standard procedures; replace faulty components with minimal disruption.
• Perform quality checks after work to ensure alignment with procedures and standards.
• Communicate and escalate issues to senior technicians or management as needed.
• Uphold service quality and accountability within a team.
• Contribute to a diverse and global team culture.

Data Center Technician / Mid-Level Support should have

• Minimum 2+ years' experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
• Some experience in a live, mission-critical 24x7 data centre, or with GPU and high-density hardware.
• Certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC) is mandatory
• A broad understanding of network and server equipment.
• Very good DC/GPU experience and overall technical expertise
• Fluency in English.
• Valid driver's license.

The role

• Full compliance with PPE requirements and site rules. 100% completion of EHS and security training.
• See something, Say something. Report any safety or security concerns as per site procedures and reporting tools to EHS, Security and Data Center Operations Management as appropriate.
• Ensure the safety of our customers data by driving for Zero un-authorized access, Zero DBD Incidents, and 100% of DBDs reconciled.
• Performs diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures, quickly identifies the cause (s) of issues, and replaces faulty components with minimal customer and business disruption.
• Quality checks after the work, verifies that all Break/Fix and Deployment work is completed in full accordance with client standard procedures, TSGs and deployment standards.
• Follows procedures to communicate, report, and elevate task related issues to client Senior Technicians, Technician Management or Data Center Operations Management as appropriate.
• Have pride and a sense of accountability for the service quality and completeness.
• Working well within teams, effective communication, and a commitment to safety and protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
