Job summary

Cytiva in Uppsala, Sweden, is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Resins & Technology Data Science R&D team. You will support the full product development lifecycle from discovery to production and manufacturing support, applying advanced analytics and AI/ML to solve complex biological challenges.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD in a technical field, are proficient in R and/or Python, and have experience with multivariate statistics, data transformation, and cloud data services.

Qualifications

PhD or equivalent in a technical discipline with data science expertise.
Proficiency in R and/or Python.
Experience with AI/ML techniques and data transformation.
Experience with cloud data services (AWS/Azure).
Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

Perform data analysis, develop and tune predictive models.
Support experimental design (DoE) and planning.
Foster a data-driven culture within R&D.
Collaborate with researchers and IT to understand scientific workflows and automate data processing.
Document and present results clearly, orally and in writing.
Identify and adopt new AI/ML techniques and methods.
Work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
