Strawberry is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our central Tech BI team in Stockholm. You will build scalable datasets and data models powering business decisions, digital products and AI solutions.

You won't just be maintaining pipelines, As part of our central Tech BI team, you’ll build and evolve the shared data platform while enabling Data Product Teams across the business to deliver trusted, high-quality data products.
Working with our modern data stack, you’ll transform raw, complex data into scalable data models that power business decisions, digital products and AI solutions.
You’ll work at the intersection of our central data platform and our Data Product Teams, enabling reliable data foundations while supporting business-specific data products. As we continue investing in AI, you’ll help build trusted data foundations that enable analytics, automation and future AI solutions.
Core Platform Ownership: Build, maintain, and optimize the core datasets, transformations and pipelines that power our enterprise data platform.
Partner with Data Product Teams: Work closely with cross-functional Data Product teams aligned directly with the business to deliver tailored datasets, analytics solutions, and actionable insights.
Own the Data Lifecycle: Design and implement scalable data models in Snowflake, leveraging dbt for transformations, testing, documentation and version controlling.
Build Robust ELT Workflows: Develop, orchestrate, and optimize reliable data pipelines using Airflow to seamlessly integrate diverse source systems.
Drive AI & Innovation: Partner with engineering and product teams to build trusted data foundations that enable advanced analytics, AI solutions and new data products.
Code & Automate: Use Python to build data pipelines, automate workflows and integrate source systems.
Ensure Quality & Documentation: Ensure data assets are monitored, documented and easy for others to understand and reuse.
Proven Track Record: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, BI, or Data Architecture.
Core Tech Expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL, deep experience with Snowflake, and hands-on expertise with dbt and Airflow.
Programming & Automation: Solid Python scripting skills for data manipulation, workflow automation, and integrations.
Cloud & Platform Mindset: Good understanding of cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and modern CI/CD/Git practices.
Business & Product Alignment: Experience or interest in collaborating directly with product teams and business stakeholders to solve real-world problems.
Collaboration & Communication: Humble, curious, and collaborative. You communicate clearly in English, ask great questions, and leave your ego at the door.
Education: BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
(Please note: This role is based in our Stockholm office. Candidates must be local or ready to relocate to Stockholm, as we do not offer fully remote setups.)
