Job summary

Strawberry in Stockholm invites a seasoned Data Engineer to join our central Tech BI team and build scalable datasets that power business decisions and AI solutions. You’ll sit at the heart of our tech transformation in Stockholm, shaping scalable data products for the Strawberry universe.

You’ll work with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow and Python, collaborating with Data Product Teams and engineers to deliver trusted data products and analytics solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, BI, or Data Architecture.
• Strong SQL, Snowflake, dbt and Airflow experience.
• Good Python scripting for data manipulation, workflow automation, and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Core Platform Ownership: Build, maintain, and optimize the core datasets, transformations and pipelines that power our enterprise data platform.
• Partner with Data Product Teams to deliver tailored datasets, analytics solutions, and actionable insights.
• Own the Data Lifecycle: Design and implement scalable data models in Snowflake, leveraging dbt for transformations, testing, documentation and version controlling.
• Build Robust ELT Workflows: Develop, orchestrate, and optimize reliable data pipelines using Airflow to seamlessly integrate diverse source systems.
• Drive AI & Innovation: Partner with engineering and product teams to build trusted data foundations that enable advanced analytics, AI solutions and new data products.
• Code & Automate: Use Python to build data pipelines, automate workflows and integrate source systems.
• Ensure Quality & Documentation: Ensure data assets are monitored, documented and easy for others to understand and reuse.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• Proven Track Record:5+ years of hands‑on experience in Data Engineering, BI, or Data Architecture.
• Core Tech Expertise:Strong proficiency in SQL, deep experience with Snowflake, and hands‑on expertise with dbt and Airflow.
• Programming & Automation:Solid Python scripting skills for data manipulation, workflow automation, and integrations.
• Cloud & Platform Mindset:Good understanding of cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and modern CI/CD/Git practices.
• Business & Product Alignment:Experience or interest in collaborating directly with product teams and business stakeholders to solve real-world problems.
• Collaboration & Communication:Humble, curious, and collaborative. You communicate clearly in English, ask great questions, and leave your ego at the door.
• Education:BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
