Job summary

emagine is seeking a Data Engineer for one of our clients in Banking & Finance. You will maintain production services written in Python and PostgreSQL and help develop cloud-native data pipelines and APIs on Google Cloud Platform.

Based in Stockholm, the role combines 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. You will work with the Data Enablement & Processing team to deliver reliable data infrastructure, handle incidents, and collaborate with stakeholders to design scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in software development, particularly with Python and PostgreSQL.
• Experience running services on GCP.
• Experience with incident handling and stakeholder management.
• Proven ability in designing and maintaining data pipelines and data processing.

We are looking for a Data Engineer to one of our clients within Banking & Finance.

End date: 2027-03-31

Location: Stockholm (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

About the assignment

You will maintain production services built in Python and PostgreSQL while supporting the development of modern cloud-native data pipelines and APIs on GCP. The role involves working within the Data Enablement & Processing team to provide reliable data infrastructure and services to the business. Additionally, you will work in a team developing and operating data pipelines, APIs, and cloud-native services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), aimed to provide more modern alternative to the existing services. Our current technology stack includes Python, .NET, GraphQL, Terraform, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery.

Core Responsibilities

• Maintain and support existing Python and PostgreSQL services in production


• Develop and operate data pipelines, APIs, and cloud-native services on GCP


• Handle incidents and manage stakeholder communication


• Design and maintain data processing solutions using modern cloud technologies

Profile

• 5 years or more experience in software development, particularly with Python and PostgreSQL.


• Experience from running services on GCP.
