emagine is seeking a GCP Data Engineer for a banking & finance client in Stockholm. You will join a strategic initiative to build a next-generation cloud data warehouse on Google Cloud Platform, contributing to end-to-end data solutions and collaborating with business and tech stakeholders.

As a senior team member, you will mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and influence architecture while delivering reliable pipelines and scalable data models.

Qualifications

Senior data engineer with cloud data platform development experience.
Strong background in DevOps, automation, and platform reliability.
Experience in Agile environments with cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to provide technical leadership and influence architecture decisions.

Job description

We are looking for a GCP Data Engineer to one of our clients within Banking & Finance.

Start date: 2026-10-12

End date: 2027-02-28

Location: Stockholm (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

About the assignment

You will join a strategic initiative to develop a next-generation cloud data warehouse platform in GCP. This cross-functional team focuses on delivering end-to-end data solutions while collaborating closely with business and technical stakeholders. As a senior team member, you will provide technical leadership through mentoring, code reviews, and contributing to architectural decisions.

Core Responsibilities

Design and implement data integration solutions, data models, and scalable data pipelines within GCP
Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure reliability and performance of data platforms and pipelines
Lead data onboarding processes and integrate data from multiple source systems
Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and promote best practices across the team
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with focus on automation and operational excellence

Profile & Qualifications

Senior-level data engineer with extensive experience in cloud data platform development
Strong background in DevOps principles, automation, and platform reliability
Proven experience in Agile development environments with cross-functional collaboration
Ability to provide technical leadership and contribute to architecture decisions
Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
