Job summary

Stena Metall AB söker en Data Engineer till Data & Analytics-teamet i Göteborg. Du kommer att ansvara för att bygga och underhålla dataflöden, modellera data och integrera plattformen med andra system inom koncernen.

Vi efterfrågar minst tre års erfarenhet av data engineering, Azure eller annan molnplattform, samt starka kunskaper i Python, SQL och Spark. Du jobbar i ett agilt team och får möjlighet att vidareutveckla din kompetens och delta i ML/AI-projekten.

Qualifications

• Minst tre års erfarenhet som dataingenjör/ backend-utvecklare eller liknande.
• Erfarenhet av att bygga data-produkter och pipelines i cloud-miljöer (gärna Azure).
• Förståelse för hur en modern data-plattform samverkar mellan komponenter.
• Arbeta iAgilt/ prototyppdriven utveckling.

Responsibilities

• Designa, bygga, underhålla och optimera data-pipelines (ETL/ELT) från olika källor.
• Bidra till dataarkitektur, datamodellering och databashantering på data-plattformen.
• Integrera data-plattformen med andra system inom koncernen.

About the team

You will join our Data & Analytics team, a team of data engineers, data architects, BI developers, data scientists and IT developer leads. Together we develop and maintain the Stena Metall Data Platform, an Azure-based analytical workspace where we ingest, process and analyse data, train machine learning models and serve insights to the companies within the Stena Metall Group.

Our work ranges from BI and reporting to advanced analytics. One example is an intelligent prediction model that helps the business replace gut feeling with data-driven decisions.

Using your potential, you will:

• Design, build, maintain and optimise data pipelines (ETL/ELT) from a wide range of sources
• Contribute to data architecture, data modelling and database management on the data platform
• Integrate the data platform with other systems across the group
• Ensure scalability, performance, monitoring and troubleshooting of the platform
• Work closely with data scientists, analysts and BI developers to prepare data for different use cases
• Translate business and IT requirements into the right technical solutions
• Contribute with best practices, architecture and hands-on development
• Keep learning new technologies and tools, including AI, to improve your skills and your work

It starts with you!

As a Data Engineer you have:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent, and at least three years of experience as a data engineer, backend developer or similar role
• Experience building data products
• Experience building data pipelines using cloud technologies, preferably Azure
• Strong understanding of how the components of a modern data platform work together
• Used to working in agile, prototype-driven development

In addition, you are:

• Curious, a quick learner and have a structured and analytical mindset
• A teamwork and know how to involve the right people to move things forward
• Fluent in Swedish and English, spoken and written

If you have experience with machine learning workflows or MLOps is a plus.
