Job summary

Amazon Data Services Sweden AB is seeking a Data Center Technician to join the Infrastructure Operations team in Sweden. You will operate and maintain data center IT infrastructure, troubleshoot hardware and networking issues, and collaborate with global teams to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data center engineering or operations experience
• Knowledge of hardware, networking, security, databases (relational or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, and/or Windows)
• 2+ years of leading large complex programs experience
• A valid EU driving license is required as Data Centers may not have any public transportation nearby.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with internal teams and customers and develop effective solutions
• Conduct site assessments for onsite installation of AWS equipment
• Install/expand/provision AWS infrastructure at various premises
• Troubleshoot hardware, networking, and configurations and perform network testing
• Identify and implement strategies to prevent issues and enhance customer experience
• Process and track purchase orders for data center hardware components
• Monitor spare parts inventory and initiate replenishment orders
• Maintain records in internal ordering databases
• Coordinate with global teams to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution
• Travel up to 25% between locations for installation, service, and retrieval of AWS equipment
