Job summary

Solaris is seeking a security-focused professional to advance our fintech platform's security posture. You will conduct assessments, develop policies, guide engineers, and lead incident investigations to safeguard financial data across our services.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, stay current on industry trends, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations while supporting the team with a practical, hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or Cybersecurity.
• 2+ years in cybersecurity or software engineering roles in a high-growth environment.
• Proven experience within our core tech stack.
• Understands agile workflows and lean principles.
• Business-proficient English; German language skills are a plus.
• Proactive team player who grows others and shares knowledge.
• Creative, self-reflective with an agile mindset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures and standards for fintech.
• Provide guidance and training on security best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to embed security in dev and deployment.
• Lead incident investigations and report to management.
• Stay updated on fintech security trends and technologies.
• Ensure compliance with financial data protection regulations.
• Oversee security team members to protect financial data.
• Contribute to incident response and disaster recovery planning.
• Follow defined Policies, Procedures and Change Management.
