Job summary

Mojang Studios seeks a Director, Marketing Creative & Art Direction for Minecraft, based in Stockholm with hybrid work. You will shape visual creative strategy, art direction, design, and integrated campaigns across priority Minecraft marketing initiatives.

Collaborate with production and partners to elevate work at scale while maintaining brand integrity and player trust. As a senior creative leader, you’ll develop talent, champion innovative technologies including AI, and ensure campaigns

Qualifications

• Experience as a senior creative leader within a game publisher, game studio, or creative agency supporting AAA games.
• Strong understanding of gaming audiences, player communities, creators, gaming culture, and channel behavior.
• Strong creative business judgment, including experience making decisions about creative resourcing, agency and production partner strategy, creative investment, and quality tradeoffs to deliver ambitious work at global scale.
• A portfolio demonstrating exceptional creative direction, art direction, visual storytelling, and integrated campaign thinking for globally recognized games or entertainment franchises.
• Experience translating game, franchise, audience, brand, and business strategy into distinctive creative platforms that scale across launches, ongoing engagement, channels, regions, and audiences.
• Experience developing senior creative talent, raising the creative quality bar, and enabling creative teams to operate with greater clarity and autonomy.
• Experience applying AI-enabled and emerging creative technologies to concept development, prototyping, iteration, production, and creative workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creative vision, strategy, and art direction across Minecraft's marketing initiatives, translating business priorities and brand strategy into distinctive creative platforms, campaigns, and audience experiences.
• Drive creative excellence from concept through launch and optimization, shaping creative strategy, campaign architecture, visual systems, and execution while using audience insights, performance data, and market learning to continuously raise the impact of the work.
• Make strategic decisions on creative investment, resourcing, capabilities, and partner relationships, ensuring the right mix of internal talent, agencies, studios, and specialist partners to achieve ambitious creative outcomes.
• Provide hands-on creative leadership at critical moments while building scalable creative frameworks, standards, and systems that enable ideas to succeed consistently across channels, markets, teams, and platforms.
• Develop creative talent, strengthen creative capability across the organization, and champion the responsible use of AI and emerging technologies to accelerate creative exploration, iteration, and execution while maintaining originality, quality, brand integrity, and player trust.
