Job summary

Saab is seeking a Cost & Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to drive industrial efficiency. You will optimize mechanical designs, work with design and procurement teams, and push Additive Manufacturing and composites into a competitive edge. You will align processes with cost, supply chain, and scalability goals.

You will collaborate across Engineering, Procurement and Production, applying DfX and advanced manufacturing strategies to reduce costs while maintaining high quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Cost Engineering or similar.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and DfX methodologies.
• Ability to analyze designs for cost and production efficiency.
• Collaborative mindset across Engineering, Procurement and Production.

Responsibilities

• Optimize designs using DfX to reduce costs and complexity.
• Provide reliable cost estimations to support early decisions.
• Lead strategy for advanced manufacturing processes like AM and composites.
• Define how to industrialize new technologies for scale and cost efficiency.
• Reduce part count, assembly complexity and lead times while maintaining quality.
