Your role

As Competence Driver and Technical Discipline Responsible for Cloud-Enabled Software Development, you will play an important role in supporting the evolution of Saab's software engineering capabilities. You will work across the organization to promote modern development practices, identify technology opportunities and support collaboration around common methods, platforms and competencies. In this role, you act as a connector between emerging technologies, engineering communities and business needs. You will help ensure that Saab leverages the opportunities created by cloud technologies, platform engineering, DevSecOps and AI-enabled development while maintaining the security, quality and reliability required in our domain.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring technology trends and emerging practices within cloud-enabled software development
• Supporting the adoption of cloud-native architectures, automation and platform engineering principles
• Identifying capability gaps and opportunities for innovation, technology development and continuous improvement
• Promoting secure software development and modern software lifecycle practices
• Supporting competence development through knowledge sharing, learning initiatives and technical communities
• Facilitating collaboration and synergies across business units, engineering teams and technology domains
• Representing the discipline in internal and external networks, forums and collaborations with industry, academia and partners

You will work in close collaboration with software engineers, architects, platform teams, cybersecurity specialists and other key stakeholders in an environment characterized by advanced technology and complex systems.

Experience from technology-intensive industries or organizations developing advanced products and systems is considered an advantage.
