Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a Commercial Manager to sit at the heart of the Business Unit, guiding projects from tender conversations through to completion and close‑out.

You will shape commercial strategy, lead contract negotiations and manage revenue, cashflow and profit plans, while mentoring a high‑performing team and collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Planning and Finance.

Qualifications

• You’re likely already operating as a Commercial Manager or Senior QS in a complex construction or engineering environment.
• Understand contracts beyond the headlines with the ability to balance risk, value and relationships.
• Ability to lead and mentor a high‑performing commercial team and collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Shape commercial strategy and lead contract negotiations and risk positions.
• Manage revenue, cashflow and profit plans and challenge them when needed.
• Build, develop and mentor a high‑performing commercial team.
• Work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with Operations, Engineering, Planning and Finance.
• Own tender evaluations, gap analysis and contract negotiations from start to close‑out.
