Clear Street in Umeå is seeking a third-year Computer Science student to join our Swedish engineering team through the Co-Op program. You will work with colleagues in Sweden and NY to build applications for Securities Finance, Futures, Execution Management, Risk, and Custody systems.

This office-based position offers paid summer work periods, ongoing part-time engagement during studies, and a path to complete your final thesis with a growing fintech team.

Job description

Clear Street is modernizing the brokerage ecosystem. Founded in 2018, Clear Street is a diversified financial services firm replacing the legacy infrastructure used across capital markets.

The Team

We started with a small group of experienced engineers and the team has significantly increased in size to a team of 50+ with plans to continue to grow. The team was formed to execute on Clear Street’s growth strategy of expanding our products and services to reach more asset classes and geographies. We work closely with engineering and product teams based in New York.

Members of the team have the unique opportunity to be part of a growth journey, building a technology stack from scratch, and making a big impact on the financial market. In this role, an individual will work in conjunction with team members in Sweden and NY to build applications for our Securities Finance and Futures businesses, the Execution Management, Risk as well as Custody and Clearing systems.

The Role

In cooperation with Umeå University, we are seeking third-year Computer Science students to join our Swedish engineering team through the Co-Op program. Please note that this position is strictly open to current third-year Computer Science students at Umeå University.
