Job summary

Varnish Software in Karlstad is seeking a self-driven Cloud Platform Engineer to build, automate, and improve the tooling and infrastructure for cloud images and containers. This hands-on engineering role offers autonomy in problem-solving and involves working with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes operations.

The ideal candidate should have several years of experience in a similar role, strong Linux skills, and familiarity with cloud platforms. Flexible working arrangements and a collaborative environment are part of the offer.

Qualifications

• Few years of experience in Cloud Engineer, DevOps, or similar roles.
• Strong Linux skills and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes in production.
• Building and maintaining Docker/OCI container images.
• Strong knowledge of major cloud platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Writing automation using relevant programming languages.
• Understanding of infrastructure security.
• Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cloud images and container pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.
• Operate and improve the Kubernetes platform.
• Build CI/CD pipelines for images and containers.
• Improve software supply chain security.
• Monitor platform health and improve observability.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Work closely with other engineering teams.
