Job summary

Jeppesen ForeFlight is seeking Cloud Platform Engineers, junior and senior, to join Team Forerunners in Gothenburg. You will help design, build, and improve a cloud platform that powers aviation software worldwide.

The role emphasizes Terraform, AWS services, Kubernetes, and secure, scalable infrastructure. You will collaborate with a diverse team across Gothenburg and Poland, contributing to IaC, testing, and automation efforts while growing your cloud expertise and mentoring others.

Qualifications

• Fluent English, spoken and written; Swedish not required.
• Basic understanding of cloud concepts, ideally AWS.
• Some hands-on experience with code, scripting or Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Linux and scripting in Python, Bash or similar.
• Interest in Kubernetes, networking and security, and a drive to go deep.
• Willingness to learn through pairing and code reviews with experienced colleagues.
• Solid experience building and maintaining Terraform modules.
• Strong AWS knowledge, especially networking, EKS and security.
• Experience testing infrastructure code.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes tooling such as ArgoCD and Istio.
• Knowledge of AWS Landing Zones and multi-account architectures.
• A platform mindset: you think about the engineers using what you build, and you enjoy mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain reusable Terraform modules for AWS.
• Write and improve component and integration tests so modules stay reliable, secure and compatible.
• Work closely with product teams, implementation engineers and SREs so the platform fits how they build, deploy and operate their services.
• Help evolve our AWS Landing Zone together with CloudOps.
• Drive best practices in Infrastructure as Code, security and observability.
