Job summary

Low Noise Factory AB in Gothenburg seeks a detail-oriented candidate for cleanroom fabrication and device metrology. You will perform lithography, etching, deposition, lift-off, and wafer dicing, while measuring devices and logging data for reliability testing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleanroom fabrication steps including photolithography, etching, deposition, lift-off, and dicing.
  • Conduct on-wafer measurements, optical/SEM inspection, and metrology for film thickness and recess.
  • Prepare samples, run reliability tests, and log data with clear documentation.
  • Provide first-line troubleshooting and support engineers with new processes.

Low Noise Factory (LNF) designs and produces the world’s best low-noise microwave amplifiers. We collaborate with academic and scientific communities to advance technology and maintain a strong culture of science, precision, and curiosity. We operate from a 1500 sqm facility in Gothenburg with an electronics assembly laboratory and high-frequency cryogenic testing, plus access to advanced cleanrooms for semiconductor circuit development.

Responsibilities
  • Cleanroom fabrication steps such as photolithography, wet and dry etching, thin film deposition, metal lift-off, and wafer dicing.
  • On-wafer device measurements, optical and SEM inspection, and film thickness and recess metrology.
  • Sample preparation, reliability-test execution, and clear data logging and documentation.
  • First-line troubleshooting and supporting the engineers on new processes.
Qualifications
  • A relevant B.Sc. – a merit but not required.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Attentive to details, disciplined in following written procedures, and comfortable with precision work.
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment.
Valuable additional skills
  • Hands-on cleanroom or semiconductor fab experience.
  • Experience operating process equipment such as lithography, etch, or deposition tools.
  • Experience with microscopy, metrology, or electrical measurements.
  • Familiarity with III-V or compound semiconductor processing.
