Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a CI/CD Engineer in Gothenburg to automate and optimize build, test, and deployment for embedded systems in the automotive sector. You will partner with development and testing teams to deliver reliable software efficiently.

You will work with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and cloud CI/CD solutions, shaping best practices across our European automotive projects and growing with ALTEN Academy.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3+ years of experience in CI/CD, DevOps, or software automation.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions.

About the Role

As a CI/CD Engineer at ALTEN, you will play a key role in automating, optimizing, and securing our build, test, and deployment processes for embedded systems and software in the automotive industry. You will work closely with development and testing teams to ensure smooth, reliable, and efficient delivery of high-quality software.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes for embedded systems
• Collaborate with development and testing teams to integrate CI/CD best practices

Your Profile

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 2-3+ years of experience in CI/CD, DevOps, or software automation
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as:
• Experience with Jenkins
• Experience in GitLab CI/CD
• Experience in GitHub Actions
• Knowledge in Scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their CI/CD solutions
• Experience working with local automotive OEMs
