Job summary

ALTEN Sweden is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop and maintain embedded software for advanced automotive systems, across the full development lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software and support system integration and validation.

Ideal candidates hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a related field with 5+ years in embedded software, strong C/C++ skills, and fluent English. AUTOSAR, MATLAB/Simulink, or Python scripting are a plus.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in embedded software development, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Strong programming skills in C or C++.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

About the role

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will work with the development and maintenance of embedded software solutions in technically advanced environments. You will be involved in different phases of the development lifecycle and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and high-quality software.

Main responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain embedded software for complex systems
• Participate in software design, implementation, integration, and testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration and validation
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues and contribute to performance optimizationWork according to relevant standards, processes, and best practices

Your profile:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in embedded software development, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Strong programming skills in C or C++
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have:

• Experience with C++ or Python scripting.
• Experience with AUTOSAR (Classic and/or Adaptive).
• Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink for model-based development.
