Job summary

Scania Group seeks a Chief Technology Officer to lead Technology and Product Development, shaping a structured, high-performing engineering organization that delivers value to customers and the market.

Reporting to the CEO and a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will set technology direction, drive product development excellence, and ensure Scania Industrial Batteries meets evolving customer needs.

Qualifications

Experienced leader with a track record in building and leading engineering, technology, product development, or R&D teams.
Experience in battery systems, electrification, energy tech, Scania, TRATON.
Skilled at leading through other leaders and aligning multiple functions.
Strategic thinker with strong execution and delivery.
Experience with complex technologies and cross-functional environments.
Effective communicator with teams, customers, partners, and executives.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering organization and create the conditions for teams to succeed.
Drive development of products and technologies from concept through validation, industrialization, lifecycle management.
Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial and Compliance to ensure delivery and scalable growth.
Represent the technology organization in discussions with customers, partners, and senior stakeholders.
Help shape the long-term technology roadmap, ensuring innovation, customer value, quality, and business objectives are aligned.
