Business Development Representative (BDR)
Inbound & Outbound | Hypergene (Norway)
Hypergene is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) with strong drive, curiosity, and structure. In this role, you are a key link between marketing and sales – responsible for both converting inbound demand and creating new opportunities through outbound prospecting.
You’ll work closely with Marketing and our Sales Executives and are often the first point of contact for potential customers. That makes you critical to both pipeline quality and the first impression of Hypergene.
This role is well suited for someone who enjoys a mix of analysis, communication, and execution – and who is motivated by building results over time.
What you’ll be doing
- Qualify inbound leads from campaigns, events, and digital channels, assessing fit and business potential.
- Identify and reach out to new potential customers through structured outbound activities (phone, email, LinkedIn etc).
- Qualify needs, timing, and relevance, and book meetings for Sales Executives.
- Ensure clear, high-quality handovers from BDR to Sales.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and sales on targeting, messaging, and campaign follow-up.
- Work in a structured way in Salesforce, managing activities and pipeline progression.
- Be measured on activity, pipeline contribution, and closed business.
We believe you are someone who
- Has strong internal drive and is motivated by working toward clear goals.
- Feels comfortable reaching out to new people, especially over the phone.
- Is curious and wants to understand the customer’s real challenges.
- Works well independently, while valuing close collaboration with Sales Executives and Marketing.
- Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Appreciates structure, consistency, and follow‑up as part of an effective workflow.
Language requirements
- Fluent in Norwegian, both written and spoken.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Knowledge of one additional Scandinavian language (Swedish, Finnish or Danish) is a strong plus.
Bonus (nice to have, not required)
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or prospecting.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, especially Salesforce.
- Experience working with KPIs or sales targets.
- Knowledge of tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Post‑secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field.
