Job summary

ProPharma seeks a seasoned Director of Business Development to drive strategic growth across Europe in life sciences. You will cultivate executive relationships, shape client solutions across regulatory, development, and commercialisation, and lead end-to-end sales from prospecting through contract signing.

You will partner with delivery, marketing and leadership to expand revenue, mentor BD colleagues, and represent ProPharma at industry events across Europe. Hybrid work is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Healthcare, Engineering, or related.
• Advanced degree (MBA, MSc, PhD or equivalent) highly desirable.
• 8+ years of experience in business development, consulting sales, account management, or strategic partnerships.
• Minimum 5 years selling consulting or professional services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, CRO, CDMO, or healthcare organisations.
• Proven track record of delivering significant revenue growth and managing complex enterprise sales cycles.
• Experience building relationships with senior and C-suit stakeholders across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve ambitious growth objectives across Europe.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue consulting opportunities within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, diagnostics, and digital health companies.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through networking, industry events, referrals, partnerships, and targeted business development initiatives.
• Lead the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, qualification, solution development, proposal creation, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
• Consistently achieve or exceed new business and revenue targets.
