Job summary

Vattenfall is seeking a DevOps Cloud Engineer to join the Digital Platform Operations team. The role focuses on building secure, scalable Azure cloud environments to support data, analytics and AI initiatives.

You will collaborate with cloud engineering, architecture, operations and data platforms to keep Azure and Databricks environments secure, reliable and future-ready. Your responsibilities include designing Azure-based solutions, implementing CI/CD pipelines, managing IaC with ARM/Bicep/

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in Cloud/DevOps roles in Azure environments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks for operations/governance/platform engineering.
• Experience with IaC technologies (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
• Knowledge of security, governance and access management principles in cloud.
• Strong scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Python).
• Professional English communication; local language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate Azure-based cloud platform solutions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git and automation tools.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using ARM, Bicep and scripting technologies.
• Automate provisioning, deployment and lifecycle management of cloud resources.
• Maintain and improve self-service platform capabilities based on .NET Core and Angular.
• Ensure platform reliability, availability and operational stability.
• Support administration of Azure Databricks and Snowflake environments.
• Implement security controls in line with enterprise policies and governance.
• Collaborate with architects, developers and operations to deliver secure, scalable cloud services.
