Job summary

Vattenfall is seeking a seasoned Cloud Architect to shape the cloud strategy and design scalable, secure infrastructure using Microsoft Azure. The role involves leading cloud adoption across international business units, establishing governance, and guiding migration of critical applications.

You will collaborate with security teams and partners to deliver future-ready cloud solutions that align with the company’s energy transition goals.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security and governance practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern enterprise-grade cloud platforms and infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.
• Define architecture standards, reference architectures and best practices for cloud adoption.
• Support migration of business-critical applications to Azure using modern architectural principles.
• Design and implement Azure Landing Zones, management groups and policy-based governance.
• Collaborate with application teams, security specialists and partners to ensure scalable, secure solutions.
• Drive cloud security initiatives based on Zero Trust principles and Microsoft security frameworks.
• Contribute to hybrid architectures integrating Azure, SAP ERP, Kafka and other technologies.
• Advise stakeholders on cloud strategy, technology choices and long-term roadmaps.
• Promote operational excellence, automation and continuous improvement across the cloud landscape.
