Job summary

Mondelēz International in Sweden seeks an automation engineer to own the production line's technical performance, focusing on automation systems and CI. You will troubleshoot PLC/HMI/VFDs, support mechanical subsystems, and lead RCA to reduce downtime.

The role also involves training operators and improving the daily management system with data-driven insights. This is an on-site position with strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining automation systems in manufacturing.
• CI/Lean/TPM tools in a factory environment.
• Proficient data handling with Excel and data insights.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical performance and availability of the production line.
• Troubleshoot automation issues across PLC, HMI, VFDs and sensors.
• Support mechanical systems (pneumatics, hydraulics) when needed.
• Conduct structured root-cause analysis (RCA, 5-Why, Fishbone).
• Develop maintenance strategies focused on automation reliability.
• Train operators on CI tools and autonomous maintenance.
• Assist data collection to drive CI activities and the DMS.
• Establish new work standards and document technical solutions.
