Mondelēz International in Sweden seeks an experienced automation maintenance engineer to own the production line's performance and availability. You will troubleshoot PLC, HMI, VFDs and sensors, drive CI initiatives and preventive maintenance while training operators and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to sustain improvements.

This role emphasizes data‑driven decision making, structured problem solving (RCA, 5‑Why), and a hands‑on approach to ensure reliable production and equipment

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting automation systems (PLC, HMI, VFDs, servo drives, sensors).
• CI and Lean/ TPM tools in a factory setting.
• Basic mechanical understanding for holistic troubleshooting.
• Data manipulation and validation with Excel and analytics tools.
• Strong communication to train operators and cross‑functional teams.
• Creative, resourceful mindset for working under constraints.
• Structured thinking to extract insights from data.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical performance and availability of the production line, eliminating recurring stops.
• Troubleshoot automation issues across PLC, HMI, VFDs, drives, sensors, and networking.
• Diagnose and support mechanical systems when needed as part of troubleshooting.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA, 5-Why, Fishbone) and implement countermeasures.
• Develop preventive and condition-based maintenance focused on automation reliability.
• Provide training on CI tools and autonomous maintenance to operators.
• Support data collection and analysis to drive CI and daily management system improvements.
• Establish new work standards and document technical solutions for long-term use.
• Manage critical spare parts and address component availability risks.
