Job summary

Scania Group in Södertälje is seeking an Automation Engineer to join the PRU-focused battery production automation team. You will develop, maintain, and optimize PLC/SCADA solutions and IT interfaces to support electrification efforts.

The role demands hands-on Siemens PLC/SCADA expertise, team collaboration, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. You will work with Ignition and SIMATIC WinCC, bridge SCADA with MES and machines, and participate in investments and industrialisation

Qualifications

When applying, demonstrate experience in automation engineering within industrial settings.
Hands-on PLC/SCADA experience, ideally Siemens with Ignition and WinCC.
Ability to troubleshoot and implement long-term improvements across IT/OT systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain IT and PLC/SCADA solutions for battery production.
Bridge SCADA with MES, machines, and networks to improve flows.
Support PRU investment and industrialisation projects.
Maintain high-availability production systems and lifecycle of local automation.
Collaborate with production, maintenance and engineering users to deliver improvements.
Translate business needs into clear automation requirements and manage backlogs.
