Job summary

Telia is seeking an Android Developer to join Telia Play and shape the future of streaming on Android devices, with a strong emphasis on Android TV. The role focuses on building high-performance experiences used by millions in the Nordics and beyond.

You’ll work with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Firebase, and GraphQL in a modern stack, collaborating across design and backend teams to deliver scalable, reliable apps and delightful user experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building scalable Android TV apps with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Strong focus on performance, architecture patterns, and release quality.
• Experience with GraphQL and adaptive streaming (DASH, HLS) is a plus.
• Git workflows, code quality, and test coverage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Telia Play for Android devices, with a focus on Android TV.
• Design and optimize apps for performance and smooth release flows.
• Collaborate with designers and backend developers to implement modern architecture.
• Build with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Firebase, and GraphQL.
• Create exceptional user experiences that delight and engage users.
