Job summary

CPAC Systems AB is looking for an Android-focused developer to build HMI apps and Android-based solutions for marine and industrial equipment. You’ll work closely with UX, system and hardware engineers to create reliable, high-performance software that connects digital interfaces with physical systems.

The role welcomes those at the start of their career, with 0–5 years of relevant experience or recent graduates with strong programming backgrounds and a passion for Android development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or an engineering field.
• 0–5 years of relevant Android experience or a strong programming background as a recent graduate.
• Experience or strong foundation in Android application development, Kotlin/Java, SQL, Linux-based environments, and network protocols (HTTP/REST, WebSockets, gRPC).

Responsibilities

• Own the development of Android-based HMI applications from idea to deployment.
• Design and implement solutions using Kotlin and Java in collaboration with UX, system and hardware engineers.
• Work with REST, WebSockets, and gRPC, and vehicle interfaces like CAN.
• Collaborate with customers to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
• Contribute to architecture, code quality, performance and maintainability.
