Job summary

Volvo CE Technology Center in Eskilstuna is seeking a software-oriented Android developer to build applications for the Co-Pilot display and machine interfaces. You will join a cross-functional team and work close to the physical product, validating software on real machines at our nearby test track.

Qualifications

• A degree in engineering or a related field.
• Experience developing Android applications with Java and Kotlin.
• Focus on readable, maintainable, high-quality code.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Willingness to relocate to the Eskilstuna area and work onsite daily.
• Experience in HMI development, automotive, heavy equipment, or embedded software is a merit.

Responsibilities

• Develop Android applications for the Co-Pilot display and next-generation machine interfaces.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional agile team to deliver robust software.
• Work closely with the physical product and validate software on real machines at the nearby test track.
• Take part in the full software development lifecycle from requirements to release.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and the transformation of a mechanical product into a modern software-driven product.
