Job summary

A leading technology company in Sweden is looking for an experienced Android Developer to create HMI applications for demanding environments. You will own the development from concept to deployment, work closely with UX and hardware engineers, and engage with customers to understand their needs. The ideal candidate has a degree in IT or engineering and 2-5 years of experience in Android development, Kotlin, and network communications. This role offers a strong collaborative environment with flexibility for remote work one day a week.

Job description

Android development plays a central role in how operators interact with vehicles and machines here at CPAC Systems. You will build HMIs that are used every day in trucks, excavators, boats and industrial systems. The environments are demanding. Performance, clarity and reliability matter.

You will work close to both hardware and end users, developing Android-based solutions that improve productivity, usability and safety. In some applications, smart software contributes to productivity gains of up to 30 percent.

What you will do

• Own the development of Android-based HMI applications from idea to deployment

• Design and implement solutions using Kotlin and Java in close collaboration with UX, system and hardware engineers

• Work with communication layers such as REST, WebSockets and gRPC, as well as vehicle interfaces like CAN

• Collaborate directly with customers to understand real operational needs and translate them into technical solutions

• Contribute to architecture, code quality, performance and long-term maintainability

We believe you have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a relevant engineering field, and 2-5 years of experience with:
