Job summary
Hitachi Energy Sweden AB seeks a Research Scientist to apply AI-based tooling to the design and engineering of power electronic systems. You will collaborate with dynamic teams, access advanced lab facilities, and drive innovative solutions shaping sustainable energy applications.
The role requires a PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field with CS/AI exposure, strong communication, and English proficiency.
Qualifications
- PhD in Electrical Engineering with Power Electronics or closely related field including CS/AI.
- Experience applying AI/ML to PE development such as topology design, controller design, device modeling, and end-to-end automation.
Responsibilities
- Identify technical requirements and drive innovation in future sustainable energy.
- Develop and provide solutions for technical challenges in R&D projects.
- Develop software systems, analyze data, and optimize concepts to demonstrate feasibility.
- Lead R&D projects or work-packages with structured, goal-oriented leadership.
- Generate ideas and proposals for R&D within energy systems.
- Interact and communicate with team members, customers, suppliers, and university partners.
