Job summary

Swedbank is seeking a Java-based software engineer to design, develop, test and deploy IT services in a collaborative, agile environment.

You will work with a product owner and analysts to refine the backlog, craft solutions within architecture frames, and ensure quality through tests and automation. Fluency in English is required, Swedish is a plus, and prior banking domain exposure is beneficial.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of Java, Spring Boot and Angular experience.
• AI-first mindset with adaptability to new tooling.
• Understanding of clean architecture; DDD is a plus.
• Experience with development tool chains such as Git.
• Banking sector or large org experience in Entitlements/Access Management is advantageous.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the role.

Responsibilities

• Contribute in all areas: analyse, design, develop, test and maintain services.
• Collaborate with product owner, business analyst and others to refine backlog.
• Decide on solution design within architecture frames.
• Resolve incidents and deploy solutions.
• Follow maintenance processes and ensure quality.
• Design and improve tests; ensure test coverage and quality.
• Aim for high automation in the continuous delivery pipeline.
• Provide feedback on code to drive improvements.
• Work in a value stream with feature team and shared backlog.
