Job summary

Billogram, a European payments platform, is seeking a Software Developer to own impact on the backend in Stockholm. You will work with Python, and AWS, shaping solutions with Product and engineering managers, and contributing to AI-driven development in a regulated payments codebase.

You’ll balance building new features with refining existing systems, improving scalability and reliability as the product grows across markets.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Python and building backend systems.
• Experience building and running software in the cloud, ideally AWS.
• Comfortable working closely with Product to define problems and shape solutions.
• Taking ownership of features through to production, ensuring reliability and maintainability.
• Ability to break down complex problems and make pragmatic trade-offs.
• Hands-on with AI development tools and agentic development in real projects.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve core backend components of the Billogram product.
• Improve existing solutions and manage technical debt as scale increases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product and Engineering managers.
• Define and ship features end-to-end with a focus on reliability and performance.
